In his debut gambling trip to Atlantic City, N.J., the recently turned 21-year-old Rutgers student Michael Rosenthal cashed in on video poker, earning his first ever jackpot and a life-changing experience along the way.

Rosenthal, who celebrated his 21st birthday just two months prior, hit the jackpot on “Jacks or

Better”at Caesar’s Hotel and Casino.

To further benefit from the $4,000 payout, Rosenthal was given rooms and services complimentary of the hotel, he said.

With his prize money, “Rosey” was able to pay his security deposit on his house’s rent and treat himself to a few nice gifts, including a 50-inch LCD television, he said.

With the combination of the television, surround sound, and living space, Rosenthal has transformed his ordinary college-living space into the ultimate bachelor pad.

The experience has also led to a change in his demeanor. Rosey considers himself the ultimate gentleman, and with his Atlantic City swagger to bolster his argument, his reputation has skyrocketed, he said.

“I can kick back, pour myself a Godfather, and enjoy a weekend with some classy ladies,” the 21 year old said.

During his rookie trip to “America’s Playground,” Rosey considered himself an expert at the casinos, even though his experience was very limited.

“I went down that morning with the intention of playing enough video poker to shoot up to VIP status, and I happened to hit a jackpot,” Rosenthal said. “But I did study perfect strategy, and planned my trip for months and months, while nobody believed in me.”

It was a patience strategy, he said. Playing minimal bets for several hours, it was either going to be a minimal payout or a lucky, jackpot-strike for the Cherry Hill, N.J. native.

Whether or not people believed in him or not, Rosey knew his potential, even comparing it to the way Clark Kent and Superman rule Metropolis.

“During the day I whip around campus on my Bike delivering sandwiches,” he said. “I put that hard earned money away for adventures like these. It’s kind of like superman in the sense that I’m a normal guy during the day, but something different when I’m in my element.”

Rosey returned to his element two weekends later, returning to the southern N.J. beach town. Returning to New Brunswick, N.J. just hours before the NFC Championship, Rosey arrived with good news.

He had struck again, however this time on Craps. Consistent betting and little bit of luck gave the Cherry Hill East High School alum the edge.

Although returning with just a quarter of the prize he had won in his first trip, Rosey strengthened his confidence, once again, solidifying his reputation as a gambler and a gentleman.

Using mathematical equations and logic, Rosey continues to train for his next outing. He has taken up card counting, a strategy used in blackjack to gain advantages.
