Rutgers student Greg Green, 20, recently became an analyst for the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The news that he would be offered the position came three months after his interview. “I was overwhelmed with joy,” he said.

Green didn’t expect to get the job. His competitors were a kid with family connections and an Iraq veteran.

Green was chosen because of his leadership background and passion for law enforcement, he said.

He says being offered the position was the most exciting moment of his life. “On a day to day basis I have the thrill of being apart of the war on drugs.”

Teacher views Rome as inspiration

Jeff Long’s most exciting moment was when he walked inside the Ancient Roman Coliseum in Rome.

Going to the Coliseum in 2000 broadened Long’s perspective on traveling in the future. “It made me realize that I can see more of the world now,” he said.

The local World History teacher is delighted to show pictures he took at the Coliseum. “I can tell my kids in class that I’ve been there,” he said.

This location inspired him to visit other countries in Europe and those in the Caribbean. He said that he would like to visit the Wall of China one day.

Long, 54, grew up in Kentucky where not many people had traveled abroad. He said that no one in his family had been overseas before.
