The most exciting experience of Michelle Eisenberg’s life was visiting Tel-Aviv in December 2009.

“I would recommend visiting Tel-Aviv to everyone,” says Elsenberg. “Even if you aren’t Jewish, it is a great experience."

After her visit to Israel, Michelle felt more connected to her Jewish faith. She recently joined a Jewish-based student organization called Hillel.

The defining moment of Matt Ramos’s life was hitting homerun in the state championship.

Ramos’s homer won the Connecticut state championship during his senior season, in 2008. The hit was a culmination of years of hard work completing a major life goal.

Today, he’s earning a degree and playing collegiate football at Springfield College. He uses the same work ethic that helped his succeed in the past, he said.

Now his goal is to become an athletic trainer and work for a professional team. The same hard work used to win states has been transferred to the classroom.

Winning the states immortalized Ramos in high school and gave him taste of success. That home run provided him with the desire for great future endeavors.

From injury to second place

Anna Steinman took first place in the 5K at Salisbury University’s track season opener Saturday, March 6th 2010.

Steinman made her triumphant return after a stress fracture cut her 2008 season short. She ran a personal best time of 18:54, 15 seconds before the second-place runner.

After never breaking the top-ten, Steinman has become one of the team’s biggest underdog stories. Steinman’s victory notched a second win under her belt, with Nationals approaching.

“I thought my injury would put me behind everyone who trained all winter,” Steinman said. “As soon as the race started, I forgot it ever happened and just ran.”

Seagulls will travel to North Carolina in two weeks for the Wake Forest Invitational. “All I can do is continue to look forward,” Steinman concluded.
